TH350/NP205 Adapter Bearing
I'm swapping my NP203 for a NP205 out of a '72 Blazer. The adapter has the support bearing in it which is trashed. Anyone know the part number for it? Digging around online, I can't seem to find anything. Instead of replacing it, can I replace the drive coupler with a later straight unit and just leave out the bearing? Thanks for the info.

Re: TH350/NP205 Adapter Bearing
Yes, you can delete the bearing. I tried to find that bearing and coupler one time and it is discontinued. The coupler was sloppy, so I went with the non bearing coupler and everything is a-ok.

Re: TH350/NP205 Adapter Bearing
I think 1970/71 was the first year for the non bearing coupler.
I got mine at a place called 4xheaven in NY. Call em up.

Re: TH350/NP205 Adapter Bearing
I have a January built 1972 K20 which still has the bearing.
For those who wish to keep the bearing in place the part # is MRC 209S. Here are the rest of the part numbers for the square O ring, 2 inner seals and t case to adapter seal (mandatory!! do not seal with RTV) O ring : TK30046 Seals : 471424 T/C seal: TK10516, QU50450 |

Re: TH350/NP205 Adapter Bearing
Make sure you pack the spline coupler with grease before installing--both sides

Re: TH350/NP205 Adapter Bearing
Pack? I put a finger full of HD grease on each side, should I pack it full?
Also forgot to mention there is also an O ring on the T/C input shaft that slides into the end of the coupler. No part number or listing but got one at an old school auto parts that had the orange Dorman boxes and i just matched them up. |

Re: TH350/NP205 Adapter Bearing
Well, you don't have to pack it solid, but there should be a decent amount
