Question---No Limit/Porterbuilt

Either one of you know of a customer that is running the No Limit Rack & Pinion with the Porterbuilt arms and swaybar. It looks like the sway bar could inter-fear with the rack.
I am to far along to put in a aftermarket cross member and would really like to upgrade to R & P.

Re: Question---No Limit/Porterbuilt

I don't know of anyone who has done this. Our rack/tie rod comes in under the steering arms, so you may want to contact Nate to see where his sway bar fits.

We can supply some taller end links that will clear the tie rods on the bottom of the steering arms. You can find some good pics of the sway bar end links in the "another Dropmember version" thread here in the suspension forum.

We have a couple customers running Robs rack conversion with our "1inch Forward Control Arms" as well. Good combination.

Re: Question---No Limit/Porterbuilt

Thanks Rob/Nate for the info.

Nate, the longer swaybar links with the regular A-arms will also clear No limit R & P.

Just wanted to confirm it wasn't just the 1" froward arms.

Thanks again guy's

Sway bar mounting location is the same on all our C10 arms.

Re: Question---No Limit/Porterbuilt

Thanks Rob for the R & P that arrived today.

For anyone considering this it looks to be a really nice kit. Clear instructions with part identification and detailed photos step by step.

Also a very easy and quick transaction, I look forward to installing in the near future.

Cheers

You bet Rob,

I would like to mock it up with the longer links once I get them from Nate before fully installing it.

Cheers,

Re: Question---No Limit/Porterbuilt

Just thought I would give an update.... I started to mock up the R&P the best I could to get an idea before drilling and grinding my fresh painted frame. I received longer links from Nate that look like they will help but it seems to still be tight. (keep in mind the R & P is only positioned in the center location and I cannot tighten the sway bar links because the new link bolts are 9/16 vs the original 1/2 so the washer ID is to small. Also noticed that the Allen cap screws for the r & p clamp needs to be countersunk otherwise they are to short (not a big deal)

More info: At full dump it seams that there is not enough clearance between link and r & p rod end coupler if the wheels were turned.

: with wheels straight the length of r & p rods to spindle are 1" different ( 9.5" vs 10") is the r & p not in center position?

Nate has identified that there are a few out there with this set up. If you are one of them we would love to see some install pics and hear some feedback.....

Re: Question---No Limit/Porterbuilt

I posted detailed pics of where I am at with the R & P mock up in my build thread so to not run the risk of doubling up on threads. If anyone has any advise please check it out.
