Best indoor car cover?

So I just had my 1968 truck painted and don't want to put any fine scratches in my clear coat. So my question is who makes the best (softest inside) indoor car cover? Where is the best place to buy it? Truck is a 1968 2wd shortbed
Thanks

Re: Best indoor car cover?

I can't help with the cover, but I can pass along some tips.
First always make sure your truck is clean before you put any cover on it.
Always fold and unfold the cover, never drag it.
a cover can still add micro scratches to clear. Wax will help with something in between the cover and the clear. being its new paint they probably told you wait X amount of time before waxing.
never wipe a car down to remove dust, light compressed air or wash it.
No cotton towels to wash/wax/dry/ Microfiber, and not cheap ones and don't wash them with anything else (cotton fibers transfer to them) and no softener.

I just spent 2 days detailing a friends 06 vette, driven daily, covered during the day and garaged at night. he goes through about 1 cover a year because he washes them to keep them clean. he car is washed at least bi weekly, just soap, water and spot free rinse (no brush, rag or sponge) at the car wash. driven home and microfiber dried, then waxed. he still had micro scratches from the cover. not many because the vette clear is rock hard but some. Funny thing is when I went by the dealer. his had less scratches before the detail then their showroom vette had.

Good luck!

Re: Best indoor car cover?

I bought one from http://www.carcoverworld.com/ a year or so ago for my concourse-restored black car, and I'm very happy with it. I can't remember the particular model, it was their top end interior cover. It's incredibly soft on the inside, like a baby blanket.

As others have noted, it's got to be perfectly clean.
