A truck with less than 10k miles on it would have a perfectly aligned odometer. IMO

wow i guess the price went way up on that. Also cant believe someone would consider parting that truck out for a project if it really is a 9600 mile truck.

What bugs me is that the paint does not match from the box to the cab, and that is looking at mediocre pictures. If this is original you would not see paint fade with that much contrast between two panels.

I'm highly skeptical.

I would agree. When selling a high $$$$ truck... Presentation can be all the difference in the world.

At least take it off the trailer before you try to double your money.

This is the real deal. All skeptics can rest assured. Although is has extremely low miles,it's not a highly desirable model...very few options. A bit of appearance options, but not enough. If you add chrome bumpers,or try to finish what was started off,it won't be original which is where it's value is. John was more considering converting to a SWB and other changes than actually parting it. He has.had an incredible little collection of fine low mile trucks that, for whatever reason,he wasn't getting bite on. Let's see how this one does now.

GM wasn't in the business of building perfect show cars, they were building mass produced vehicles for the general public. Profit and quality is a tradeoff. However GM quality was better than the industry as a whole.

True photos aren't the greatest, but as Special K said, it is a low mileage original. You will discover factory applied paint jobs are not perfect, panels may vary in shade, may be thicker and thinner in various spots. You may be used to perfectly overly restored vehicles at car shows, but rarely do you see a low mileage original at a car show to compare to. For someone interested in an all original '69 that needs no attention, here it is. Rare color I might add, and the white trim looks sharp. I personally would rather see black wall tires and dog dish caps.
