Cruise control for my 69 custom/10 ?

I was wondering if anyone has any idea if you can get some type of cruise control for these old trucks. I think it would be really cool and let my leg rest a bit. So please any ideas or comments guys?
Its a 69 custom/10 with a 400sb and 4bl holly and 350th trans

Re: Cruise control for my 69 custom/10 ?

Cash3481 has one for sale: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=535441

Looks like it's not working and he mentions that he doesn't know if it's working. BUT, this might give you a starting point, or if you don't buy this one, at least a way to know what to look for.

I've seen some later model mid-70's impalas and other car cruise controls used also. Not sure if Mike's is stock, it very well might be, but I hardly ever, if ever at all, see "stock" cruise control. The pic in this thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=532950 shows a non-original one installed and how it can be set up.

Here's some more info: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=136867

Good luck! I'm interested also, I'd love to see a start to finish install thread on cruise control....

Re: Cruise control for my 69 custom/10 ?

I installed one just like the one listed in the eBay link below, but with a different name, on a 79 Blazer back in the day. I also put one on another vehicle... think it was a 79 Honda Accord. They worked great and they're not too hard to hook up. I also have an unopened one I got at a car show last year for $15.00 that I plan to put on my 69 CST/20. Mine is called a Speedostat and carries the Dana name. I've also seen a couple of used ones like these on the parts board over the past couple years.

I put one similar to this one on a 97 Jeep Wrangler. Worked OK, but not as convenient.

Re: Cruise control for my 69 custom/10 ?

My '72 came stock with cruise control.

I don't have it hooked up... but it came in the truck as a dealer installed option.
