Blazer Profile in American Car Collector Mag.

I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday flipping thru car mags. I came across American Car Collector Magazine and found a 2 page profile spread on the THE 1972 CHEVROLET BLAZER. Its profile was right next to a 1968 Shelby, 1970 Superbird Hemi, 1971 Camaro Z28. The article reports how Blazer values have been climbing in the last few years and will continue because the market is waking up to the Blazer, same way as it has to other Classic GMC and Chevy pickups. It shows how 3-4 Blazers have sold in different auction companies from $21,600 to $27,000 in the last few months. Very interesting.

Found it online here:

Looks like you have to be a subscriber for all the details, but some cool pics...

That is too bad that they don't allow you to see the magazine. But thanks for pulling it up. I tried to take a picture with my phone but it would not download the picture of the article.

Here you go Bouncy....

Considering it sold on Thursday (crappy time frame) and at Palm Beach (not BJ's biggest auction) it still brought decent money.

Now I'm not sure if that was the hammer price or if buyer commission is already figured in. If not you can figure the buyer actually paid (I think it's 10%) over that price.

There are other examples that have sold closer to the $30k mark. So yes,,,they are climbing in value in the last couple years it seems. Not bad for what everyone considers a bad economy right now.
