tubular ccp control arms
I have a question I have CCP tubular upper and lower control arms on a 1968 chevy two wheel drive C-10, with coil springs up front. I would like to Air bag the front in the furture. I called and asked CCP and they stated I would have to buy different control just for Air bags , the coil spring control arms will not work with air bags. Its this true or are they just trying to sell me new control arms??? I have seen trucks with stock upper and lower control arms with air bags and I have seen base plates to fill the gap where the coil spring goes and then the air bags on top.
Thanks Rich

Re: tubular ccp control arms
Does anybody sell a spacer that fits into the bottom coil spring spot and an air bag then goes on top. I thought i might have seen one before somewhere, but I could be wrong?????

There isn't much room for an air bag in there unless you use a 2500 series bag. I like 2600 series bags up front. I think someone has a thread on here about CPP lower arms for bags. I would use Porterbuilt or RideTech a-arms if you are wanting to switch to bags.
