Re: Smitty's 67 Build
Of course we'll want a video of the cam break-in and when you smoke those fate tires out of the shop! Killer work, you're an artist man!

Over the top is right. It seems like you had all your ducks in a row on this build. Congrats on a record pace finish. Love that custom interior!

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
I went into this build with a set plan on all the parts and stuck with the plan. I did not intend to build a show truck but zhit happens. I got to drive it about 50 miles yesterday. Wow holy crap wow. Couple thoughts so far.
The weight of the truck is 4028 completly full of fuel a little heavier then I thought it would be but the balance is with in a few pounds side to side and its front to back balance is 55/45. The ride is awsome the new triples from Ride Tech are amazing I can not stress enough what a improvement they are. The rack and pinion set up from No-Limit is a massive improvement this kit is a no brainer for anyone building a truck or wanting to update one. The Brakes are spot on we ran a 7/8 bore master and the pedal has a great feel. The transmission is spot on also. The clutch pedal feels like a new Cts/Vette very easy to push in. The twin disc clutch is super smooth. The White Lightning shifter is bad ass!! Worth every penny. I am amazed at how this truck rides and turns. I threw it at a couple corners and it sticks very well. I will post so more info on the parts and stuff now that I have time to breath. Thanks everyone who has been watching this build. Fire me any ?s you have I will try to respond to them. |

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
Chris,
Who's hood did you use? I just set our new hood on for the first time last night and it is junk. Don't know what do do with it. Any recommendations? Our hood is a 2" Cowl Ind. from TriPlus. Thanks!

What happened to the LTZ dash you had mocked up early on in the build?
