In looking at pictures of other trucks I'm trying to get a good grip on where exactly the fender weld/rubber gaskets lays on the outter fender. Any on ehave clear pictures?
Thanks Jake

Re: Fender Rubber location
I have that picture too and can only see where the rubber mounts to the upper most outter section. The inside seperate part that "clips" to the rear fender brace (I think I need to get two of those) takes a stiff piece of rubber to keep the rain and or debris from getting to the cab?

Re: Fender Rubber location
Jake:
There are two pieces on each side. One is L shaped in the picture and the other is shown as a straight piece. They merely clip on to the sharp edge on the back of the inner fender to close the gap with the cab. The consistency was foam on my 1966 similar to the door gaskets. The only difference is that these had some metal clips in them that let you squeeze them onto the sharp edge on the back of the inner fender. They also used some staples to hold them on as well. Hope that helps. Regards, Steve New Orleans. |

Re: Fender Rubber location
Thanks Steve, I did the inner fender edges, 3-M gasket glue no problem. But I seem to remember a piece of rubber for the outter fender and the backside brace I think I need to get some new "metal" peices that the rubber is held on with/to? I can't describe it any better than that as I don't know the proper name 'Filler Pillar Piece" (Sounds like a bad song lyric).
BTW since I have you on the BB You can come get the 2 extra 305 heads and rocker arms assemblies if you want. IF you're traveling to the NS or maybe I can haul them south and meet you in 'Metry'.

Re: Fender Rubber location
i used the same foam pieces as the inner fender panel at the top where "L" shaped bracket used to be.
