I think that thereof more difference than just the length. I have a 70 Longhorn, 72 c10 lwb chassis, 69 Swb chassis and a truck bed trailer made out of a 72 3/4 ton by ap.o. But have never checked the differences!

Re: Has anyone cyt and lgthened a frame so a Longhorn bed woulf git?

First why would you want to extend a lighter duty truck? The Longhorn was built to offer a HD pickup capable of handling a long heavy camper. To that end it is based on the 1 ton truck frame that has higher strength through increased section height over C10, non Longhorn C20 pickups or K20s. Stretching a lighter frame six inches ultimately would make it weaker in bending and torsion. Buying a parted 1 ton frame to build upon makes much more sense. Unless you are planning on building a custom cruise missile to lay on the ground and play dead, its a lot of work for six inches/4.5 cubic feet and less ability.
