One or Two SCROLLS on a 69 custom seat ? ?

In another thread, the question came up if the 69 custom's cloth seat had one or two scrolls in the vinyl, in the center of the seat. Below are all six of the 69 cloth seats I have saved that others have posted on here, that were said to be original seats. Some are GMC's . . . I wonder if THAT made a difference ? ( although, one picture with one scroll is a GMC and another with one scroll is a C-10 )

What do you all think ?

. . . .

As many of the trucks that were made, I would be shocked to find that they had a single supplier for the seats. I imagine it varied by plant. Just a WAG.

My 69 Custom/30 wrecker had the maroon cloth/vinyl seat and it had the single scroll in the center. (cloth areas were replaced at some point with non correct vinyl-life aint easy being a wrecker!)

Would love to find a new cover like the stock one. I had to use an all vinyl type for now.

Re: One or Two SCROLLS on a 69 custom seat ? ?

Here are pics of the back and bottom seat covers I recently removed from my 69 Custom with saddle trim. In my opinion, these are the original seat covers. I was unable to find these in reproduction so I used the CST style for a replacement.

The number "95" written on the inside back cover matches the "95" written on the front frame crossmember. Can't say what the other numbers mean.

Re: One or Two SCROLLS on a 69 custom seat ? ?

Most people have the toughest time with the 69-70 years since, they look indentical, but there are subtle differences. The Custom trim level in '69 got the single scroll down the center. The Custom trim level for '70 got the double scroll pattern down the center. The Custom upholstry is not reproduced, nor is the "standard" interior upholstry for either years. It seems the aftermarket is just interested in reproducing the "CST" upholstry.
