What was the name the Canadians had for the Chevelle - Beaumont, wasn't it? I know what you mean though. People know about Bel Airs and Impala's. I wonder if people with 150's and 250's have the same issue. The only thing worse is explaining to people what a 400 is in these pickups.
What color blue is that?

Here's some shots of Lola of the ground.
  I received some of the interior yesterday, so I was anxious to do a test fit. I took off the existing non-original door panel and was surprised to see the original protective wrap on the door.   The passenger front was having a leak down issue, but I think I got that fixed. It sure is nice to have a real time display of the air pressure at each corner. I took a picture of the pressures when I left the night before to compare to when I came back.  My advice to anyone doing this that hasn't done it before - use Teflon tape on the fittings, even the ones that come with the tape already on it, and don't be too shy about tightening all the fittings down. Air doesn't need much to get out. Time spent doing this will save aggravation later.

I use Teflon tape and then pipe dope over that... Coming from a plumber that doesn't like leaks, trust me!

Thanks guys. Tonight I got some real glamorous work done - took a wire wheel to the interior floor, getting it ready for some POR-15, then insulation. Took the headliner out also. I cannot believe the hughmongous mouse nest that was in there! It was disgusting. It'll be a miracle if I don't get the hantivirus or something. This thing is going to smell one helluva lot better at least.

Got the power brake booster installed today. Like everything else Performance Online has been involved with, the rod that connects the brake pedal to the plunger was too short. So off the to the local Ace Hardware to buy some 3/8 - 24 rod to make a replacement. At least that part of it works now.
The rest of my afternoon was spent applying POR-15 to the interior. Great fun. Posted via Mobile Device

So what came of the brake situation? Are you gonna use the stock spindles and aftermarket disc or??? I'm having issues with my disc setup and wish I would of just spent the money for a high end kit and been done with it!

Have to use the stock spindle if I want to use the Strong Arms so that's what I'm going to do. I want to be able to lower it, but I also want it to handle good, stop, and go.

They think they can engineer a spindle that will fit, but think the steering arms will have to be modified. If they do, I'm not going to grind them down to fit. They're scrawny enough as it is.

Last night I worked on getting the seat mounts mocked up. It's amazing how much more you can accomplish when the temps are 20 degrees cooler.
Next, the insulation goes in, then carpet, windlace and headliner.
