Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays
New guy here, just had the truck about a month now so I'm still gathering parts, ideas, and direction on what to do.
Starting with a 66 C10 and adding in my 383 & T56 from my last project. You'll have to use a bit of imagination as there's lots to do before it ready to drop in ... |

When you paint the engine with PPG paint, what do you have to add to make it a hi-temp paint for the engine? By the way, I work in SF, someday I hope I see your truck. Looks great. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays
Just getting started, a lot of pieces to attach yet, plumbing, wiring, and install A/C system. The air cleaner is just sitting on wood blocks right now, awaiting carb. It's a 283 with a powerglide. Not going to be a tire burner, but that is what it came with. I drove it a long time previous with this combo, and it was fun to drive, very reliable too.

I noticed you are using the tall valve covers. How is the clearance on the driver side? By looking at it, it seems it might be hard to get off. I have a set of tall Edelbrock Elite valve covers in my Caprice and want to put some on my truck but wasn't sure if they would fit. And to all the other posters with awesome engine bays! Damn mine has a long way to go. Bret
