rear end difference ?
hey guys I have a quick question.
What is the main difference between 71-72 5 lug rear end vs 73-84 5 lug rear end ? This is going on a 67 shortbed. Is the only difference that I have to weld the mounting brackets that sit on top of the trailing arms on a 67-72 truck? Everything else the same ? |

71-72 chevys had 12bolt rears and the 73 up should also have a 12 bolt rear// not a 10bolt like he is selling

Not only that but 73 and up rears dont have the bracket that the track bar mounts to, could probrolly weld one on but id personally rather have one that already has it

Thanks guys. So either find a 71/72 or use a 73/84 12bolt 5x5 but have to weld on the trac bar and mounts. Thanks.
