mine is engineless too, sorry, no pics from me though.
i've got mine torn down to a shortblock already. so far, the additional damage is a possible camshaft, definitely lifters and a timing chain. |

looks like this was the week for engine work. i had my heads and the whole top end of the 408. and they are back on and its running again already. 12 hours straight in the garage

i didn't change anything about the setup. the head studs didn't get a good seal for some reason. i had a tiny bit of water coming up around a few of the studs so i tore it all down cleaned everything, put on a new set of head gaskets and a different kind of thread sealer on the treads going into the block. i really think it was my fault and when i orginaly did it i think i was confused about a whether a few of the studs went into the water jacket or not. but i took some peoples advice form CT performance this time and just used sealent on all of them. i probly could have fixed the problem without pulling the heads, but i spent too much money to cut corners so i tore it all apart.
