68 rearend in a 59 Apache....
J 22 8 / CON1 / GM 54 / TR 11 21 W 2 / NF 3896839
Info someone told me: 3896839 looks to be from a Chevy/GMC truck ,your's would be a 68. The TR shows 68-69 Chevy series 10,4x2 3.07 non-locking. This is not the same as the car 12 bolt. I lifted the rear wheels off the ground and the tire rotated 10 times for 13.75 rotations of the driveshaft. I came up with 3.73 posi if I did the calculations right. Can someone tell me about this rearend? Is it strong enough behind a 454 slightly modified? Just curious as I don't really know anything about the rearend. Is it better or worse that a car 12 bolt? a truck 12bolt is good for a mild bigblock engine/// i get better results by turning the driveshaft and seeing what the wheels do// to b cerrtain and provide probally wayyyyy overdue service it's best to remove cover clean count and add new grease
