Antenna swivel part

Does anyone know if the swivel piece that helps secure the antenna from under the cowl is reproduced? Mine broke after I forgot to remove the mast before going through a carwash. I'd rather not have to replace the whole antenna and I don't think the broken piece can be welded as it is potmetal. The part on the left in the pic is what I need. Thanks.

Re: Antenna swivel part

With aftermarket, you might have to buy the whole re-pop mast (~$50).
I've never noticed that individual part in any catalog before.

Might want to go junk yarding plus haunt the parts board until an OEM mast
crops up for sale. I would think normally, on a broken antenna, the only part
to survive would be the part you broke and need!

Good Luck!

Not sure if you're still looking or not, but here's a guy selling the lower section of an antenna for $15 shipped: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=544916

Re: Antenna swivel part

Thanks, I saw that too, but too late by about 30 minutes as it had already sold.

Re: Antenna swivel part

you might try some alumiweld they sell one kind at harbor freight and it is supposed to work on any non magnetic metal and most pot metal is non magnetic. and you can use a propane torch to braze it and it is strong. i used it on my cars water neck thermostat housing that was cracked and it worked perfectly and has held for two years now.

Re: Antenna swivel part

I believe LMC has the part you are looking for. Usually they have everything broke down. Mine is deleted, so that is something I haven't been in the market for.

Re: Antenna swivel part

Hey grebus I might have a whole oem antenna. I took it off my truck and won't be needing it. I'm sure it has what you need, but I'll check for sure if you want the whole antenna just let me know!

Thanks,
Ryan

Re: Antenna swivel part

Thanks for the replies. I ended up buying an antenna from a board member who is parting out a truck. I tried LMC and they only sell the complete antenna. Also I had tried some JB Weld and the repair didn't hold once I tried to assemble everything again.
