Re: my 66 C60
I was looking through my silver book, and I saw a speed governor , and that might be what is by the carb... I havent crawled around in there to see where everything goes yet, but a couple of those hoses need to be replaced, they are all dried out and cracking on the outside, now that you mention it I am also curious about the oil fill and I wonder about the therm. bypass too...

Re: my 66 C60
I bought this cool 2 ton truck last month from the spokane valley and was actually surprised it did not go faster to a local person in that area. for 1000.00, it runs and drives just needs a master cylinder. 366 big block 5 speed 2 speed rear. love the lcf frontend.

Re: my 66 C60
good deal, be careful bench bleeding it , and follow all the instructions for doing so; I didn't and had to wait another week to get another new m/c.

Re: my 66 C60
It stands for low cab forward. The cab sits further forward than the standard cab trucks for visibility and compactness reasons. But still longer than a coe, cab over engine.

Re: my 66 C60
Cool truck. I would strongly suggest you look at putting 19.5's all the way around on it, that will lower it significantly.
I am sure it is going to come in very handy for years to come.

Re: my 66 C60
picked up a couple 60 pontiacs today, used the truck for one, had a great battery, and the winch sucked it right on , no hassle.
need to get some hooks welded to the bed , and make some sort of stopper , so the vehicles wont crash through the cab if they get loose....

Re: my 66 C60
You may look at getting some Banjo Eyes A&W direct has them they are very handy for securing a car.
Also transport chains are a good investment. You weld the banjo eyes into the back of your bed, then you cross chain with the transport chains to the car. A V bridle is also a good investment to consider for your winch, it will give you two points of contact on the frame and it will keep the pull on winch in the center line which will help the line spool around the drum correctly so it is not prone to bunching up at one end. Doing what you do this video may also interest you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xejMKLck_r0 That unit is pretty cool because it can load vehicles with very low ground clearance with out worrying about wood blocks and what not.

do you have a link, or pic of the 19.5 wheel idea you mentioned? wonder what havoc smaller tires would play with gear ratio and such..?
