Will auto. trans. crossmember just bolt in?

Will a transmission crossmember from an automatic truck just bolt right in to my truck after I remove the manual transmission crossmember?

Can it be done with the cab on the truck?

(I am swapping my truck from 3 on the tree to a TH350)

thanks
mark

Re: Will auto. trans. crossmember just bolt in?

I just R&R my turbo 350 with a Muncie 4 speed (M-20) in my 71 C-20 and I used the same existing cross member. I used all the same bolt holes at frame and trans. mount.
I didn't know they had different cross members for stick and auto??

Your manual trans crossmember will probably be in the way of installing an automatic trans.
