Is there a different center cap

Is there a different center cap that fits the standard 81-87 rally wheels that came on the half tons? I was thinking of painting my wheels but I'm afraid the stock center caps wouldn't look too good so I'd like to have some choices if possible.

Re: Is there a different center cap

you can use these from 88-98 if you get the aftermarket externally threaded lug nuts to hold them on. past that, not a lot of options

These centers can also be drilled and tapped to bolt on from the backside of wheel.

Yep, lines up perfectly with the screw holes that are already drilled on the truck. I just did this, but I got the lug nuts, I just like the look of the black plastic lug nut covers.

Some grease on the threads and install the lug covers keeps the lugs rust free.

Re: Is there a different center cap

Hmm. What are those old looking wheels that have a big chrome center cap sticking out of the middle? I really like those and I'm trying to make my truck have that "old" feel about it.

Re: Is there a different center cap

Thanks everyone but these are what I was looking for. Apparently they go on a different set of wheels. Anyone know if they make these wheels that would fit an 87? I really like 'em. I think they're off like a Nova or something. Can't remember what car I've seen 'em on. Got all the pics off ebay and they didn't say what the original vehicle was.

Those clips that 79squared posted bolt to square rallies so you can use those caps..

Think it would look good? Also would the corvette wheels fit the 81-87 trucks? Half ton of course.

Hol-y man, they are saying you can keep your stock steelies, use those clips that were posted, and then put on the corvette centers. And the other poster was talking about brotherstrucks.com. Wheel vintiques makes enlarged nova style steel wheels too. Pricey though.

I like this idea, but I can't seem to find them listed anywhere. Anyone have a source or link?

Thanks Desert

No stock corvette wheels will fit our trucks the bolt pattern is different. You have to go aftermarket in our 5 X 5 bolt pattern.

Corvette rally wheels with the truck 5x5 pattern, in any width you want from 6" to 14". Pretty cheap on the price too. Only $68 a piece for 15x8's.

Re: Is there a different center cap

Cant remember... is 15x8 the stock size of the 73-87 ralley wheels? I'll have to go look on my tire. It would be nice to be able to use the tires I already have of course.
