I don't think there are many engines made that couldn't be shoehorned into the carven know as our engine bays.

Re: Nissan RB26DETT in a square body

Was looking to do this myself. The adapter to fit the gm trans is expensive as hell and so is getting the motors and building it right after some kid has trashed it. Not to mention you WILL have to make 800hpto keep up with a sbc making 500hp why? Your driving a brick with a torque less engine.

If the cool factor is all then go ahead but sadly I wouldn't.

A 2jz you prob could do with good results

that is the reason you buy a 25 and you can buy a stroker kit but the 25 is cheaper then the 26 and fairly cheap to build. the funny thing about those motors is it can do 500hp on stock internals. they do produce great torque, but you will have lag unless you use nitrous or twin turbos of different sizes

Then they become sequential turbos instead of twin.

Re: Nissan RB26DETT in a square body

i say do it if u have the time, money and skills. personally i love nissans..especially skylines...it'll be cool to see an rb in one of these trucks. fully built these motor can make upwards of 1500hp. a nice mild rb26(or even an rb30 stroker) with 500 or 600hp should be good enough in a c10 imo.
