Re: 1967 C10 "Sinister"

Your truck looks great! I think those old school rallies I think they are the way to go. It really gives it as you said that real old rod feel. Can't wait to see more!

Re: 1967 C10 "Sinister"

I have the same problems with my 20" wheels. They have the same backspacing so the rears are tucked in. I didn't notice it when I had a stepper bed and 15x10"s on it. I was going to just add longer studs and spacers to bring it out

Great lookin build btw....gotta love those small back glass trucks!

Re: 1967 C10 "Sinister"

Thanks... I didnt notice the rear backspacing with the stepside bed except for the rubbing on the inside. HA HA

I want to find a 15x10 rally for the back just for the deeper look. I might just put a 1" spacer behind the wheel for cosmetics. Cant wait to bag it... just have to make time.

Re: 1967 C10 "Sinister"

Anyone have any suggestions for center caps for the 80 truck rally wheels? I have the 4x4 centers but they're too big and just look like crap... Anything else fit?

My happy place outside the garage! THis is right above the world famous Velzi-land surf spot on North Shore... the only way up here is my dirt bike or hiking. Dont let the Chetah print fool you, this bike isnt for the light hearted!

Re: 1967 C10 "Sinister"

Need some ideas for wheels! I loathe COYS and 338s... Every truck being built now has em, they're the new rock stars. I was thinking some 6 spoke boyds. Hard to find wheels in Hawaii.

Re: 1967 C10 "Sinister"

I think that would make for a very neat looking truck if you were to Paint it that color completely. Or like you said earlier in an earlier post, flat white with a red and black interior. That sure would look real good. I like the story behind this truck.

Re: 1967 C10 "Sinister"

Dustin, thanks for da props... The older I get the more I want to get away from the satin black... I think that mint green color is different and gorgeous as long as I can find the right rims to accent it. I did my 2001 R1 flat white and it was cool but a pain to keep clean... I also like the cholo look a little too... Not too much of that out here in Hawaii... Thanks again tho

Got any pics of ur truck and bug? I love baja's!

Well, like I said, there isnt anywhere to drive them out here so, all the ones I have seen are for show - justifying the custom candy paint! There is actually an enormous Bug club out here... I have had 2 bugs... a 64 and a 66... neither were baja though.

Hmmm i never would have thought of that. Haha bugs are fun man, especially out here if it's a baja. They'll go anywhere you ask them to. They'll out do 4x4's alot of the time. Haha

Re: 1967 C10 "Sinister"

I jus tread your thread, and I am glad you got your truck back. I bet that felt great. you have gotten some pretty sewwt deals for that thing so far. I liked the look of the 20" rims but they just were not quite right on your truck, As for the rallies, maybe try to find some older hubcaps that you could retrofit somehow onto the rims. even mid 90's caprice caps from a cop car. something to think about. One thing you sure do have a nice place to relax, a little bit jealous here. Considering it is currently -2 degreed celcius out.
