68 gmc front spring hanger question

im in need of front spring hangers and i need to know what will work. its for my '68 gmc 4x4 3/4 ton. also has anyone seen these fuel filters? mounted on the frame. any leads on this filter would help

Hate to say it but that fuel filter housing looks like a Ford part. Good filter though.

well i dont know, but it was on my truck and spid label. this isnt made anymore but the filter is still out there, i saw a few spin on cups for fords that looked close

You know I think your right. I have one of those out of an old UPS truck that was a GMC. I think the filter is a spin on type rather than a cartridge type like the Fords.

cartridge goes into cup and spins on. not a big deal if i dont find one, its not a show truck, i just like doin things original ya know?

As far as the front spring hanger I'm not sure. The 67's were closed knuckle axles I beleive as well as the 68 3/4 tons. I'm not sure if the spring hangers were different as well. I just got a 72 3/4 Sub 4x4 to steal the spring hangers for my 70 Longhorn that I want to convert to 4 wheel drive.

well i been scratchin my head on this one, a fella in az has a 68 4x4 3/4 ton and his pics are correct and i saw the raised part# on them that match my book #'s. and i am wonderin why mine look different. transition year? mine look like the 69-72 type. grrrrrrrr

Are your springs 3" wide at the front mount and rear shackle? 67/68 leaf springs are 3" at each end and then taper to 2.5 at the center where they mount at the axle.

well its like this, pass side is correct with what you posted, drivers side is 2.5 at all 3 spots.
