Been wrenching for a long time, mostly cars, now I got a couple 4x4's one 1976 3/4ton Chevy and a 90 1/2 ton Chevy

been reading your forums looking for info on the old truck. Its got a 4speed with the granny gear and I want to drop a 700r4 setup in it. I got a line on a 700r4 with transfer case together but other than which side the driveline is on Im not sure what to look for, mounting, adapters and all that jazz I can deal with, i just want to pick the right transmission first.

tmi?

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
