C20 side emblem without the word "Custom".

I can't seem to find one of these new. I can find them used on eBay, such as this listing http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAIR-...sories&vxp=mtr

But, what vehicle did these come off stock?

How can that be though? I have a '69 Custom20, but the emblem on the side says "custom/20". It doesn't say C20

For 69&70 the badging was:
Base model= C/20
Custom model=Custom/20
Top of the line=CST/20

In 1971 and 1972, the Custom/20 was on the base model.

So, would it be "acceptable" for someone with a '69 Custom 20, to use the lower base model C20 emblem, since I would be showing an emblem of a model below the Custom 20? It's not like I'm a Mercedes or BMW guy changing emblems to appear like I have a more expensive model lol

Jud has it right. Your truck being equipped with the RPO Z62 came with the Custom/20 emblem and external dress up like the window chrome. The only other badging not mentioned is the Custom Camper/20 nameplate that was a basicaly a badge indicationg the truck meet specific minimum equipment levels on any trim level truck.
Of course you could change the badge as desired but a C/20 with chrome windows is factory incorrect.

Here is a truck very close to yours "as delivered". The exceptions being the Special Two-Tone paint with the white lowers in addition to the roof. The rear bumper and radio antenna as well. The mirror arm should be, I believe, body color (blue).
