Transmission line?
I am wanting to find out if i have transmission lines made out of hydraulic hoses what size of hose should I use? I am thinking it might be best to just have some made instead of bending my own. Any thought would be appreciated.

Re: Transmission line?

Re: Transmission line?
Thanks. What about fittings? I am assuming that there is a specific name and size for the fittings that we use for the lines. The truck has a Turbo 400 and a radiator with cooler for a 350/454. Thanks in advance.
The hose #5 is it pretty flexible? I know hydrualic lines are heavy duty but these are a lot smaller then most hydraulic lines I have seen. |

Re: Transmission line?
Its is fairly flexible, You dont need the 3000 psiWP hose.....300 psiWP will be fine.
Fittings at the trans are 1/4"NPSM...You will need two 1/4"NPSM Male to -5 JIC Male fittings The radiator cooler connections are 1/2"-20 with a 45 degree tapered seat. You need two 1/2"-20 w/ tapered seat Male to -5 JIC Male fitting. Fittings for -5 are sometimes hard to find, You may have to go -6(3/8"). |
