Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
You should use the "Quote" button on whichever post has the grey C10. This way people will know Which grey C10 you are referring to.

My 1970 short bed. My grandfather bought it new, then when I was 15 I bought it from him to be my first vehicle. I plan on being buried in it when I die, lol.

Both trucks are nice, can't say the blue one isn't low enough.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Thank you, it's always been my 'first love', lol. I've owned it 11yrs now. It's great seeing everyone else's trucks and reading about their passion for them, I enjoy all of the individuality of each.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
what you said about you enjoy all of the individuality of each......that was well said....can you picture if every truck looked like every other truck. we all have our own different ways of doing things , and our likes and dislikes .....color ,wheels....ride height etc.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Here is the story behind this truck. My father-in-law gave me this truck. It was his granfathers and was bought new here in the town we live in. My wifes grandfather (her mom's dad) rebuilt the truck in the mid 80's. I got the truck like this with a camper shell on it. Didnt take long to take that off. My son and I really enjoy the truck. It is a 307 3 speed manual steering and manual brakes truck. My plans are to put in a auto and power steering and a 2/4 drop with rallies. Then we will just drive it and enjoy. It will be my son's truck when he is ready!!!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
here's a dark green one.
i bought this in June, it was built for the sand dunes in Michigan by someone. another guy bought it and put in a 600 HP pump gas motor, high stall converter, 4:88 gears, manual valve body 350 trans................... we made a deal minus engine and i trailered it home. i spent the summer finding, building and installing the engine, I'm changing it back to cruse on the street. i bought and restored a set of 3:73 axles that i have done, very tired of the 4:88's changing them ASAP. i have driven it around 500 miles so far, it get a lot of attention and complements. the day i brought it home: it took my 2 Dodges to get it home (he he) |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Noooooo!!! I vote to leave it 3 on the tree. How many of your son's buddies will know how to drive that? It's been that way this long so I say save the history. One day if the trend keeps going, there won't be any of those things left. JMHO.

Very nice clean truck, fits together well. Not sure of the color, kind of a purple blue, I like it though.
