fender trim question..
was the front fender trim ( the ones on the forward edge of fender/hood) an option in 68? I got a set of fenders that are missing the holes for the trim, they certainly look original, but could they be repops?

There were trucks with no trim, grill separation trim and full trim with the body side molding. Some had silver and others had white grill paint. Here is a basic picture of the variations. The repro. fenders don't have a hole to accommodate all variations plus its a little cheaper to make.
Trucks with either the Custom Apearance Option or the CST Custom Sport Truck options would have the grill trim.

I see. I didnt realize they came sans trim. mine is a lwb stepper with white face and silver trim, I didnt think the trim would have been an option since this bare bones truck has it..lol..but I suppose it coulda been ordered with it. thanks for the reply
