Re: How low are you goin and still towin?

I plan on towing with a static 4.5/5.5-6 drop. I will have to see how that works out.

My 68 stepper is 4.5 in the front and 6.0 in the rear, I pull my bass boat with it and no problems.

Re: How low are you goin and still towin?

I have a 4/7.5 ish static. This is my buddies jet ski. No problems but it is light. I'm planning on bags in the rear so I can pull my car trailer or boat. The way I see it is, being lowered you don't have much room for squat from the tongue weight. Any spring that wouldn't compress much is going to ride hard.

As far as i know there all about the same on rates.

You asked what springs i used, ece supplied them, and yes i'm close
to the bump stops and depending on the road hit them on ocassion.
the only way i know of get a higher rate spring is getting eaton spring
to make some. Heard of some folks using air bags on the trailing arms
for when hauling a load.

hope this helps

4 6 drop, springs. Hits the bumpstops with a load or hauling but I haven't died yet.

Re: How low are you goin and still towin?

not much weight but it gets the job done. E.C.E 6 inch rear coil and half inch block trimmed the bump stops about a half inch no rubbing.
