Re: Dual Battery in a 72 K20?
It looks to me that you have one of two choices.
1)You could easily hook up a second battery directly to your first, positive to positive, negative to frame. It will basically act as one very large battery. Pros: Simple and cheap Cons: You may have to buy two new batteries, I wouldn't recommend hooking an old battery and a new battery together like this. It also won't allow you to use the second battery "for emergency purposes", like if you accidently leave your lights on. If one battery is dead, the other is too. Option 2) Get complicated with a series of solenoids and switches to allow you to automatically connect/disconnect the second battery from your charging and winching circuits as necessary.

Re: Dual Battery in a 72 K20?
For my K5 I got a driverside battery tray from a 72K30 bolted that in and bought this Hellroaring Iso/combiner: http://www.hellroaring.com/ Tons of info on that web page ... I have the incab toggle switch were I can isolate or combine both batts. Works awesome, not a cheap product but worth the cost in the long run..IMO
