how many leafs in a k20 rear suspension?

my friend has a k20 but when I counted the amount of leafs his rear suspension had, it only had five total. My truck is a k10 and I have 7.

are his springs stronger than mine so he needs less

It really doesn't matter how many leafs you have. What does matter is the load rating for the springs. This might be able to explain it a little better than I can.

mine has eight but also if you have springs re-arced they add leafs to it so that could explain the difference of the leafs
