Help identifying what else I need for AC - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey guys, when I purchased my Blazer the dealer told me the only thing I'd need to get the AC working was a compressor..the PO apparently removed it for some reason. I've consulted my shop manual and from looking at the pictures of the complete Four Seasons AC system it does appear the the compressor is all I'm missing. I'm hoping this is the case and that all the intact parts are in good working order!

dont see the front lines to the compressor, should replace the drier, and don't see the condenser either

yep, missing some lines...which part is the drier? The condenser is there, first picture next to the dehydrator

Here is a picture showing the lines needed. The drier is mounted on the outside of the radiator support on the passenger's side.

Don't see the vacume valve for the hot water line either. If the system has been open for any amount of time pull a very long and strong vacume on the system when it's all back together.
Cheap insurance is buy a new drier and I would think real hard on swapping it out for a 134-A system condensor and be a lot happier with it in the long run. The cost will be about the same either way.
If anyone says R-12 is better than 134-A they don't have a clue as to how to set the system up to work properly. + the cost is a lot less and you can do it yourself.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
