Re: installing rear glass

What bigblock said, be careful in the corners not to ripe the gasket then you'll have a bathtub. You can use a spray bottle with water and a couple of drops of dish soap to lubricate the gasket.

Re: installing rear glass

You put the gasket on the back window, then you take a 3/8 thick rope and put that in the groove of the gasket that the metal body of the truck goes. With help someone holds the glass into the opening from the outside while you pull the rope into the cab thus bringing the rubber lip of the gasket over the metal to lock it into the cab of the truck.

Just be patient!! and use lots of soapy water to lube it up! And have someone working with you that can hold the glass where it needs to be held until you get started. I had my wife attempt to help me.....fail

Re: installing rear glass

I used weed whacker string. Wrap the string/rope around the gasket. Slip the bottom of the glass into the pinch weld and start pulling.
