Question get the air out

On my 90 full size blazer, What tips or tricks are there to get the velosity of the air from the blower motor and squirl cage for the ac to blow out harder from the dash vents.
I will be replacing the dash pad next week and while I am in there will be looking for ways to improve air flow. Besides checking for good vacuum, good vent duct seals, and door closures what else could improve air flow????.

How do you get to the intake tube? is it under the cowl or in the engine compartment?
