Turkey day update! w/buddy buckets!

Hey guys,

I managed to have enough energy after the big dinners and family time that the new buddies are installed

I also threw on a 66 truck wheel and I'm actually diggin the way the white is working with the seats and overall theme of the truck. I am gonna change the paint scheme just a bit on the wheel still yet..

Lots of guys were big help when I went on the buddy bucket hunt so I thought I would update some progress.... Anyways, on to the pics I just snapped, sorry for the quality

Re: Turkey day update! w/buddy buckets!

Thanks for the info. They are houndstooth right? Also, where did you get the foam for the seats if you don't mind.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Turkey day update! w/buddy buckets!

houndstooth is correct
The foams came from a board vendor (pickemup)
made by PUI

the wheels are just plasti dipped, can be removed anytime
I just decided to mix it up a little, I get bored easy....

Re: Turkey day update! w/buddy buckets!

Wow those seats look incredible. I've always been a true fan of the bench seat, but I have never seen the buddy buckets like that. I may have seen them at swap meets, but not recovered and in the truck. There are some here in okc on cl for sale, but we'll just say he is proud of them. Are they rare? I'm guessing by the price the answer to that is yes. Do they slide forward like a regular bench?

thanks, yea the buddies are rare. Your basically paying for the frames when you buy a set of unrestored buddy buckets. Only made in 67-68 and they cost a small fortune to restore, but I like the rare stuff so its all worth it to me... The drivers seat slides forward and backward, the passenger side is bolted in place. I feel they give much more lateral support than any bench seat I've ever sat in.

Re: Turkey day update! w/buddy buckets!

It took me a couple weeks of looking to find a reasonably priced set...I got lucky and found some local though..most aren't as fortunate.

how much is he asking?

Re: Turkey day update! w/buddy buckets!

The upholstery looks like it would clean up fairly decent, but at this stage in my build it's hard to break off that kind of cash for a seat. But it's about two hours away. It's on the okc cl under 1967-68 Chevy C10 Bucket seat - $650 (Newalla). Tell me what u think.
