Original1970 Bucket Seat and console Questions and help

I am looking for an original set up of bucket seats and console for my 1970 c 20 pick up.
I seen a few on e bay and they make it a point to say they are from a pick up and not a blazer. I don't need to tell you how pricey this set up is and i want to make sure i get the right stuff... so my question is.. whats the difference, if any between pick ups and blazers? I will recover what i buy so the upholstery differences don't matter much

Re: Original1970 Bucket Seat and console Questions and help

The passenger seat bracket is different between the 69-72 truck and the blazer seat.

73-75 seats look similar,... but the brackets are completely different.

Re: Original1970 Bucket Seat and console Questions and help

We put a lot of bucket seat info together in this thread about adding buckets.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?t=516328s.

Blazer seats have/had backs to cose out the seat and the pass. seat brackets allowed the seat to tilt forward. Some people like this feature in pickups to allow access behind the seats. Beware of motorhome seats sold as Chevy seats. If it has staples into a wood base its not a GM seat.
Just remember there is more to correctly installing buckets than a few holes. There is factory pan bracing not present on bench seat trucks. This is important it is for the local loads imposed by the seats.
