Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
Here is a picture of it back in 98 before I sold it to a friend. He drove it for a few years pulling his boat to the lake. He started a on frame resto and never finished it. Here is a link with the history of my Jimmy. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=412720

Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
Finally have an update. I had to go by the shop to get some parts for the original seats so, while I was there I snapped a few pictures. The frame is most of the way together. The axle has been painted and the brackets cut off of the factory axle and put on the 9". The inside of the tub has been painted. They said once the tub has been sanded and cleaned up and the axles put into the rearend the tub will be places on the frame.
Here they are. Sorry for the quality. All I had was my cell phone. |

Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
looking tough man. im thinking about getting me the old school set up rear end for my square. sucks they stopped doing it cause the trailing arm set up is way better then leafs when it comes to traction and such. not only that it also gives the rear a lil more independence

Re: I think I've decided on a build "theme"
I'm sorry, I don't have any pictures outside of what is in this thread. You can look up automotive rotisserie on Google and you can find a lot of examples. For the Blazers they used torsion boxes to help minimize body flex.
Here are my torsion boxes before they were installed. Here are the only pictures that I have of the underneath. You can see the torsion boxes on either side of the body on the bottom. |
