Does anybody make these?

I didn't notice till I was putting some new pins in that the drivers side guides as I call them, fell out at some point. Can't seem to find who makes them. Just noticed, unrelated, but why does the left driver one have a M stamped and not a L for left?

Re: Does anybody make these?

Classic Parts of America used to sell those (dont know if they do any more). They are called friction pads.

Re: Does anybody make these?

Thanks for the reply zepp, classic p don't sell them anymore. Been doing a little more research, I guess this has been brought up a lot. Some guys are using brake pads to rebuild them, problem, I don't have the metal piece they sit in.. Junkyard maybe. Just thought it would be easier to order some. But hell, none of this ever turns out easy does it?
Found a gm part number someone posted, no real luck locating anything on it either. It is.. 15672666. Here is a nos on eBay if someone is interested, just pad though..NOS 67 68 69 70 71 72 Chevy GMC Truck Blazer door check link friction check pad
Anyone else?

Re: Does anybody make these?

I bought new pins and bushings at NAPA, they had them on a display with a bunch of other parts, they even have door & window handles for our trucks.

That's an idea, our old napa store has been there for years. Might still have some old vintage parts laying on the shelves... Worth a shot.

Re: Does anybody make these?

Unrealted but NAPA used to carry tail light and side marker lenses as well. They may have discontinued them by now.
