late model rims
has any one put these late model truck rims on a 1960-1966 truck? if so how did they fit? were they to far in or to far out , i'm looking to buy a set and run 265/75/r16 tires on them. any help would be great , the truck has stock front and rear end , but it will get the 73-87 front and rear conversion done within the year . thanks , [IMG][/IMG]

Re: late model rims
I have seen another 3/4 ton with those wheels somewhere, check to see what your stock wheels are now from the face of the wheel to the outer edge of the rim, then do the same for the inside offset. I thinks they will work just fine if your truck is setting at a stock height. I currently run 265-70-17 on 9" wide cragars in the rear and they are fine (but it is close due to the offset) since the wheels your are looking at do not have much offset they should work fine on the rear axle.
I run 9" wide 17" Cragars on the front and my truck is lowered so we used a smaller front tire to allow clearance...I think they are 255-65-17" again with normal spring heights on a 3/4 ton you should be ok. Kieth ps when you do your front conversion be sure and get the 3/4 ton front crossmember, ps pump, sway bar, they are different than a 1/2 ton front end..... |

Re: late model rims
You mean like this? IIRC, only thing is the hub caps had to b e these larger ones to fit over the hub, the chassis is a 72 GMC so you know.

Re: late model rims
I am running these right now with 265/75/16s. I think they are late 80's to late 90's.

Re: late model rims
I believe they will, you will need to be creative on the caps though
