Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I worked on the truck today. I put the carrier bearing/u joints on and put the driveshaft together. I started to clean the drive shaft and found out that somebody painted over some grease. So I took it down to metal. I painted it and installed it. I also swapped my front springs so I could get rid of a slight lean to the drivers side. I did work and I'm sitting level now. I finished installing the front shocks. I installed a new alternator. I finished my sending unit wire from the tank to the cab. I took the rear end cover off and cleaned it out. I will put new gasket on it and seal it up good. I have decided to get new rotors for the front. So I'll order those and get a new power steering belt too.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

couple more. When I put a rear tank on I put the sending unit wire through the old gas line hole. I use an oil sending unit line grommet. I'll silicone it later when the floor is sound proofed with dynamat.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

after I get the rear cover back on I'll pull the brake booster etc. off and the steering column out. paint the firewall and put it all back on. I am going to use some driver quality items like steering column and dash cluster while its gone to the body shop. I'll install mine on assembly.
