New Member Decoding help on New Truck
Hello All,
I just purchased a 1972 LB. Was looking for some help on decoding. Not sure what the interior should look like. I know it was Saddle but some has replaced it with black with b/w hounds tooth inserts, and painted the door panels and dash pad black. It also has black carpet. The truck has no exterior molding, what did it look like? I am also confused by the rear suspension it has leaf springs and what looks like coilovers. I can post some pictures here in a little bit, but all the molding is gone off the truck.

Ok cool everyone here loves pics! Ill find a pic and show you what the mouldings looked like. Also the leaf springs were and option since the coil springs were standard. Here is a pic of mine with the lower and upper mouldings

Re: New Member Decoding help on New Truck
That is a nice looking truck! The PO must have taken the old mouldings off for a cleaner look. Don't see much of these trucks with leaf springs either

Re: New Member Decoding help on New Truck
So this truck had top and bottom wood grain molding? What in the interior if anything would have had the wood grain? Also what would the tailgate have had on it. I didn't take a picture of it but it has raised large white letters and no trim.

Re: New Member Decoding help on New Truck
Here is a pic of my SPID. Looks like a lot of the same trim options you have. I can tell you that my truck is a third owner, me being the third. It has a headliner, leaf springs, black side molding with wood grain door panels. You have a very nice optioned truck there. I would like to know what the original seat covering is suppose to look like for a Cheyenne package.

Re: New Member Decoding help on New Truck
Here is what a Cheyenne with the optional belt molding looks like. The Cheyenne interior had "wood" trim only on the door panels.

Re: New Member Decoding help on New Truck
Can anyone tell me of some places to get the Cheyenne seat covers and door panels? Also I am certain at this point I have the incorrect tailgate on my truck. Can anyone verify that. All the pictures I see for a 72 Cheyenne have the trim with lettering not the stamped tailgate. Here is a picture of what I have currently.
