That was the hot lick 13 years ago when the truck was built. It wouldn't take a lot of money or time to change though. I'd almost bet that it hasn't had a half dozen cassettes in it in the past 13 years. That and the half covers over the headlights that block a lot of light if you plan to really drive the truck are the only things I can see that I would want to change right off. Then load it up and haul it to th e other side of the country where it will hold it's own for a few more years.

Anyone notice that the driveshaft runs off at a bit of an angle because the Currie rear end is centered in the frame rather than having it offset to run the driveshaft straight? Or that it runs those dreaded factory Ford MII suspension pieces? and leaf spring in the rear. No real high zoot stuff at all, just a well built truck.

I don't know if it was just me, but the top bar in the grill looks like it pushing down in the middle, in the straight on look. but other then that its a nice looking truck.

I noticed that upper grill bar too. It's a beautiful truck and easy to pick it apart due to being done 13 years ago, but I'd love to have it. I'd put more than a few thousand miles on it in the next 13 years though.

It looks that way but should be a fairly simple fix. A fix that should have been done before it was put up on Ebay as a premium truck. Where most of us look at something that we can fix and use as a bargaining factor the guy with a pocket full of cash looking for a ready to drive and show AD truck might see it as a reason he would pass on the truck.

I'm guessing that it has been for sale for a long time because the seller wants a lot more money for the truck than it's actual value as a 13 season old show truck. With a few changes and updates it can show and probably do pretty well but it's old news in the region that it is in and needs new stomping grounds so it's a fresh truck in a different area.

The thing that should help it sell though is there is no "personalization" on it. No murals or cute names on the tail gate, no overpowering pinstripes or other things that a lot of guys seem to do to personalize their vehicles that really cut down on the desirability of the vehicle to someone else who is looking at it. Wheels can be changed with a trip to the tire shop, sterio head units can be changed with a trip to the auto sound store, the chrome head light covers would be personal choice to leave or remove but there is no cost involved either way, the grill bar a little out of kilter probably will just take an hour or two of time to square up.

Am I mistaken or did they spend 100K to build this truck and leave the fuel tank in the cab? Your going to need to spend another 50K in air fresheners for the gas fumes.

Picky, I noticed the bedwood was missing a few cross supports. Doesn't look like it has been driven much in 13 years.

The flat strap holding the r/side tail light looks tacky, to me, anyway.
Since nobody mentioned it yet, I am probably off-base.

Since we are picking the staggered size of wheel and fact that the front dish looks to be as deep if not deeper than the back ruins it for me.

Noticed the missing cross sils also. It's a nice truck but 100k 13 years ago?? Wow!! In my opinion they overspent - alot!!

Show truck built to show and not be driven as it has under 3 k in 13 years which probably means in and out of the trailer at the motel and a short run to the fair grounds and back to the motel and back in the trailer with a "whew, it didn't get dirty" and tied down and hauled home to wait for the next haul to the next show.
That isn't my idea of having fun with my truck but there is that group of car folk that feel that they have "too much money and work" in their car, truck or what ever to want to actually drive it and risk wear and tear or road rash. There is also that element that is only interested in the show trophy side of it and are afraid that if they drive their truck it won't be in "show" condition. And don't forget that brigade that won't drive their truck, hotrod or sports car because putting miles on the fresh redo "would reduce the prospective resale value".
We all have our own way of looking at our "hobby" vehicles. There are those of us who buy and drive, those who work their butts off building a truck only to loose interest the day it gets driven and start thinking about the next project, those of us who are so worried about resale value that they never really enjoy the vehicle once it's done. The list goes on and while some seem a bit strange to some of us others can relate or even see themselves.

If a guy could get that truck for under 50K he should be able to take care of some of the things that guys have pointed out he would have a great truck to hit events with for several years to come. Fix the grill, throw a set of the latest hot lick wheels and tires of this year, swap out the head unit for the sound system to something up to date and look out West Coast rod shows.
