Smile 1969 Front Grill

I have a 1969 CHevy Custom that next spring I will have to replace the dented Outer Grill. I started looking at it and do see the bolts on the top in the middle to take off but has anyone else taken these off before? I only see on the top left and right theres like 3 or 4 rivets attaching these corners to secure them. Do they have to be drilled out?

Thanks. Truck69

There are three or four bolts that bolt in between the grill and radiator support that hold the brackets for the grill and bolt into the fenders. the brackets are what you will have to drill the rivets out and rerivet the brackets to the new grill. You will also have to take your bumper off

Take off bumper. There is 2 bolts at each corner of the grill. You will also need to take the bolts out at the hood latch (the latch doesn't need to come out). Then lay down under the front, and there will be another bolt at the bottom of the center of the grill, and one in the middle (behind the 'R' of CHEVROLET in the middle). After all bolts removed, just slide it out.
Remember to grab your hood snubbers off of the old grill, or buy new ones.

Sweet7T...DO I have to touch the rivets at the top on each of the corners? Drill them out at all? Thats all I can see that holds the top corners in place? Thanks.
