What color is that? It appears to have more pop than light olive.

Re: The Bomb, 72 C10 Custom Deluxe
Awesome...can't wait to get mine that clean. Wanting to do same color interior. Where did you get door panels from? The covers from Truckseats look great ...did you ask for white or offwhite?

Re: The Bomb, 72 C10 Custom Deluxe
Looks great, i am almost there with my 72 2wd blazer. I will add some pics later. I just had a 1ton driveline built with a slip yoke, trying to address all weak points in my drivetrain.

Re: The Bomb, 72 C10 Custom Deluxe
I love the old sixties colors in BC/CC. They really pop, almost like a custom color. I'm kinda starting to rethink the black on LBT for one of the cool old sixties blues. Dang, this truck is nice!

Also, where did you get the deflectors behind the rear tires up inside the bedside? Those are cool!

Re: The Bomb, 72 C10 Custom Deluxe
Thanks again for the nice comments!
Vince, Yes, notes and many pictures! Wish I would have keep better notes or pictures of the fastener markings. Didn't plan to but ended up getting all the original fastener re-plated and had a heck of a time getting them back to the correct spot, at least most of them. Low Elco, Nothing added, original parts of the bed.

I'm in love with that green. I'm very close to putting paint on mine, where can I get a hold of some of that?

Any paint shop can mix it up. 1972 Medium Olive Poly # 504.

Re: The Bomb, 72 C10 Custom Deluxe
Is it a specific brand is what i'm getting at. My cousin is going to paint it, and he said he couldn't get it mixed in the brand he's used to.
I know nothing about paint, so I was just trying to see if I could get some ideas for him. Thanks. |

Re: The Bomb, 72 C10 Custom Deluxe
Lee, is that an L-88 Corvette in the pictures with your truck? Your truck is awesome but it looks better in person.

Re: The Bomb, 72 C10 Custom Deluxe
Thank you sir.
A quick update: I have about 7k miles on it now and it runs and drives great. I planned on it being my daily driver and that is what it is. I had it dyno'ed a few months ago and was very pleased. Rear wheel HP 352 @ 4,929 and TRQ 393 @ 3,644. Next up is a hard tonneau cover. I stopped at the Gaylord factory a few weeks ago and they look real nice. Also looking at Weiand 142 Pro Street Supercharger maybe for next year. Still have to figure out which serpentine belt drive system will work with it. Good times for sure.
