Exclamation Help with shocks!!!

I just ordered my front disk brake conversion kit from CPP, the kit included 2 inch drop spindles, and i just ordered 2 inch lowering springs. So there will be a total of 4 inch drop in the front. For the back i want to end up with 6 inch drop, i have 3 inch lowering springs now, and will get to that project after the front is done. So this leads me to my question.... Shocks?? I need to help figuring out what to get, I only see 3" for the front and 5" for the back? will that work?

You need a shock to work with the amount of "spring drop" you have.
(2" front,... 6" rear)
CPP sells shocks for their kits.
So does Belltech, McGaughy's, Western Chassis, etc.
I normally use KYB drop shocks from www.earlyclassic.com.

What year truck are you working on?

Re: Help with shocks!!!

There are a couple of companies that offer a shock relocation kit, that moves the upper mount of the shock up a few inches. This would allow for a longer shock to be installed and possibly get you what you want. Do a little research on CPP, Classic Parts, etc...
