1961 Chevrolet truck help

My dad and I have been keeping a 1961 truck for use as parts. However, it has been over three years since we got it and nothing has been done to it. I asked my dad if I could start to work on it and fix it up. There's just one problem... we don't have the title. If anybody used to own a 1961 truck or knows somebody who has, I would really like to find the previous owner of this truck. From information we got from the body shop we got the truck from, the owner left it at least six years ago and lived in or around the Charlotte, NC area. From stickers on the truck, it was last registered in 2002. If it helps, the ID number is 1C154A117605. Please help a 16 year old gear head save this old truck from the crusher! Thanks for your time!

I don't know about where you live but out here in Arizona we can file for a bonded title, abandoned title. They cost a little more but if you don't have a title sometimes that is the only way to get one.

You can get a new title through Get New Title.com I believe if you absolutley need to. I am not sure how much it would cost though.

Re: 1961 Chevrolet truck help

Well for us all we need to do is take the vehicle to Motor Vehicle so they can see the vin numbers and fill out paperwork swearing you didn't steal it and they run the VIN numbers

Last I knew it was $60 for a title but that was a few years ago.

Pretty sipmle process.

Give motor vehicle a call and tell them what you need....
