Question Upgrading to newer seats

I am looking to upgrade the seats in my 1971 Jimmy with some from a later model vehicle. Is their any seats that will bolt directly in, or will I have to make some custom mounts?

Thanks

I think for the most part you will have to make custom brackets or drill new holes in the floor. A lot of people (including me) use the newer chevy seats because they have the intergrated seat belts.

Have I got a deal for you!

Take a look at these and let me know/offer I'll work with ya. You can get armrest covers easily as it looks like there is a zipper on the bottom side.

My truck has some "custom" brackets holding the "custom" seats. I have no idea what the seats are out of but they previous owner's homemade brackets sit way too high. I'd much rather have the originals back in there to match the back seat.

If you make your own brackets, make sure that you measure the seat height and the brackets compensate for any additional height or lack of height in the seats.
