Need help picking a color help please
Im trying to think of what color to paint my truck and i have been bouncing between black and the factory color medium olive, id like to see pics of both and i see a few black ones on here but the medium olive seems kind of rare. I am just starting body work so im in no hurry just wanting to get an idea so once i get there ill know what im doing. Thanks in advance

Re: Need help picking a color help please
I mean I love gloss black with a little chrome and red interior but its been done alot, and my stock color would look pretty good as well Im hoping if I see a few trucks done in both colors it might make it easier, I googled it and still couldnt find any medium olive trucks

Re: Need help picking a color help please
a few more (# 3 is a member's and one of my absolute favorite trucks ever) - the white buckets in the black truck are not in the posted black/white super, and are not stock. No buckets came with houndstooth. But it looks good.

Re: Need help picking a color help please
sorry don't have many med olive interior pics, and note that whote/black houndstooth on a black seat is non-stock/non-factory. The med olive depicted below has an incorrect seat cover just so you know.

Re: Need help picking a color help please
There were a lot more trucks built in Medium Olive Green (Willow Green) than Black. It was a very popular color at the time. However many have been repainted over the years.

Re: Need help picking a color help please
Man, all those trucks look so good, i plan on repainting the whole truck inside and out ( it was a work truck) the interior paint is ok but has chips and fading so if i touch it up im afraid it wont match. But my basic plan is now that its mechanically sound, newish carb new brakes, clutch... Im gonna start the body work piece by piece so it can still be driven since its my dd i hope to be able to have this done by july at the latest but i know that deadline isnt for sure and once i get the paint im going to have my old seat frame redone with a stock look and new foam and go from there but it seems like the only thing still not sure of is the paint, once i get that figured i can decide on an interior color and so on.

Im a fan of two tone white on olive green. Specially if you put back up the trim pieces.

Re: Need help picking a color help please
The molding is easy to install when there's already existing holes there to use as a reference. Without them I imagine it's quite difficult even though there are sources that show where the holes should be drilled.

Re: Need help picking a color help please
When the PO repainted my truck, he didn't bother using the clips. He drilled holes and used screws to hold the trim on. It kinda hacked me off that I didn't see that until after I had bought the thing (don't buy a truck at night). I figure I'll paint the tops of the screws black to match the trim. It won't be a show truck, but a good 10 footer.

Re: Need help picking a color help please
ok so if I decide not to do the trim because I dont want to mess my body up any worse than I already have and I dont have preexisting holes, what are some other decent looking ways to divide it off if I use a two tone? i want some sort of divider between the colors I really like the white top and middle with both colors I just like it when theres trim or pin stripes or something between the colors anyone with ideas and pics of something like that Id appreciate it, like I said Ive got a log way to go before paint but I just want to have my mind made up.Ill post pics that I have of my truck now asap
