Okay, I'm in. Here's what I'm doing. Early Falcon/Mustang tank. Very little modification and it doesn't hardly hang down. Even better, they're cheap. Mine was under $150 brand new.

Re: The 1960-1966 Chevrolet & GMC Pickup Under Bed Fuel Tank Relocation/Conversion Th

We used the blazer fuel tank, but changed it to allow filling from the top, it was a pain in the ??? but it does work on a short bed and holds a little more fuel 16 gallons. We even modified the tank to accept a in tank fuel pump.........Kieth

click on the thumbnails to see the mods we made...for the filler . We did the fuel pump mod later.....

What are you ideas/plans to get your gas gauge to work with the ford sending unit?

The link below is where I got my tank and the specs. It's 16 gal. I plan on modifying the sending unit to work with my 66 fuel gauge.

Re: The 1960-1966 Chevrolet & GMC Pickup Under Bed Fuel Tank Relocation/Conversion Th

I bought the blazer tank first, but chose not to use it and bought a Boyd Welding tank.
The Blazer tank didn't fit well, the tank set to high and the filler just wasn't right. With the Boyd tank, it was just right!

How come folks don't like side fill? Is anyone using there truck as a truck? Just curious because I want to get my tank out of the cab, but seems like it would be a pain to fill in the bed, especially if you have anything in it

For me it's just a personal preference. Now if you are interested here are just a few links you can check out. 63-66 Rear Mount Gas Tank Side Fill

Don't think there are any aftermarket 60-62 tanks. But I think some fellas are using suburban tanks.

Thanks. Like I said, I was just curious. Didn't know if there was some issue I was missing with the side fill other than the cosmetic part of having a door on the rear of the fender.

Has anyone used the $199 LMC kits? Rear Tank
