Smile Has anybody else did this with their dash?

I restored my dash cluster over the holidays. i wanted something different so i did it to match my interior. What do you think?

i just put a peice of sheet metal in the middle, but im putting aftermarket gauges

Personally, I like it. When you install it, take a pic of the interior with it in it.

Take a pic with it in the truck. I personally just like the black in there but everyone is different. Hope it looks great in the truck. Thats the beauty of paint... you can always paint it some other color if you don't like it.

I like it !! Didn't GMC's have the gauge surround painted body color from the factory/

what does the rest of the dash/truck look like? because this could look really good if the rest of the truck matches, or it could look very cartoony other wise

Here is apicture of a68 GMC that was recently for sale on Ebay and as you can see the gauge suround and glove box door is body color, cool !!

He is a pic of my '69 GMC 2500 Custom Camper (unrestored). My gauge cluster is painted a slightly darker color than the body and it matched my glovebox door and both door panels (not shown in this picture).
